Observation Mode and Questions About P90X

Saturday, March 09, 2013

Since I insist on killing my calorie counts (and this after day 1) I am going to use those experiences to add to Observation Mode: just what exactly am I doing and why. So far, on the weekends (which is when I work 11+ hour shifts) I have gone over my calories for the day by a half-a day's worth and that with fast, fried, and prepared foods. Note to self. Need to either work that in in a reasonable way, or take it out totally.

I don't see myself giving up the Chinese food, so that may need to be a work-it-in-in-a-reasonable-way thing.

Also, I have roommates (who are not overweight) who have the P90X videos. I watched the infomercial the other night on purpose and there was a guy on there who was over 350 pounds and says he did three cycles of it. How? He said he modified everything, but how can someone burn that much weight off with modifications? I guess I am just wondering if this is for real or if it's just a lot of junk.

Has anyone done P90X? Any input?

JENNIK2 - Do you mind me asking what your weight was when you did Jillian Michaels? I am about 230-ish now and probably would have to modify a ton of stuff.

Thanks for commenting!

ROOTI - thanks for the input. Maybe I can talk them into letting me try a disk or two before I buy it...but I am not sure they will share. LOL!

I know people who have done it and sometimes it works and sometimes is does not. It depends on the person.

I have done Jillian Michael's Shred which is circuit training, and I think P90X is circuit training too. It is super hard, but you get a great workout. After only a few weeks I can do so much more of the workouts. The first day I was dying though. I really want to try P90X!
