CrossFit Open 13.1

SP just deleted my post on 13.1. Not cool! Anyway, I wasn't planning on signing up for the open, but my friend and I were texting all week about it and eventually talked ourselves into it.
We don't have that many people signed up at our gym, so I was surprised to see the crazyness when I walked in today. We had TONS of people there, some from other gyms and some who train on their own and needed a judge. There ended up being 6 heats and I was in the 5th. At first watching so many people do it was a little stressful, but eventually I felt a lot better.
If you don't know, the WOD was:
17 minute AMRAP of:
30 Snatch, 45 lbs
30 Snatch, 75 lbs
30 Snatch, 100 lbs
Max rep Snatch, 120 lbs
I knew I could make it to 100, it was just a matter of how many 75# snatches I could hit. I just PR'd my power snatch at 83# a couple weeks ago so I was nervous about how many I'd be able to do not only so close to my max, but after doing everything else!
I paced myself on burpees, then broke up the 45# snatches in 3 sets (I think I did 15-10-5), then more burpees, and finally was ready for the 75# snatches around the 10 minute mark. I missed the first one and hit myself in the head. It wasn't that painful, but it wasn't the most uplifting way to start! They were very slow at first and after my first missed rep, my judge told me to lower my hips when I set up. Once I fixed that, they definitely got a bit easier. I still had some missed reps, but picked up the pace a bit toward the end and got a total of 17 for a score of 117. It was TOUGH but I'm glad I signed up. Just 4 more to go...already excited for/dreading the next announcement!
