Well today hasn't been real great but not real bad either. Somewhere in the middle.

But did get some paper work done and grocery list made.
I have always been one to pay all the bills. Bill is a little lax about such things. But not long ago I let him use check book and help paying bills. I always pay bills the day they come. Well there were 5 that needed to be paid.Plus a tire rebate he couldn't figure out how to do on web. Took me maybe 5 minutes to do rebate. Yes I rubbed it in.
He did redeem himself by getting an orchid for my sister Joanne and taking it to her. good thing I didn't see it or she wouldn't have gotten it. It is a beautiful yellow bloom with colored center. Now Bill has to find me one.
I made myself a shrimp pasta cold salad. it turned out very good.

I think this is better picture of my new orchid the green one and the white one an old one. Plus a bloom on my christmas cactus which never bloom except in Dec.

i had a big gain. Some is fluid but some is real gain. Will get it off this week.
Hope you had a good day

  Hi Eleni.......
I swear, you could make a cardboard plant bloom!!! I have NEVER seen a green orchid blossom before. It is absolutely beautiful!!!
Your shrimp pasta salad looked beautiful too. It is one of my favorite cold salads.
It was your birthday on Friday, so I would have been surprised if you didn't have a gain. You had company bringing treats almost all week. You will get rid of the gain!!! I have complete faith in you.
Take care.

Those orchids make me swoon...I'm a fool for orchids since that was the last plant that my Josher gave me for Mother's Day before we lost him. He was always SO sweet to me...I miss that beautiful boy...I do...I do! emoticon emoticon Cherish those kids of yours...even when they are being the pain in the butskie that they can's better with them and their problems then without them and the empty space they leave behind. emoticon

Your salad looks delicious. I don't dare let my husband handle the checkbook--he did once and was bragging about having more money left over after bill-paying than I did. Then I came home from the grocery store and the electric had been shut off. He gave me back the checkbook and hasn't touched it since--and that was in 1979!

ooohhhh orchids, they're beautiful, just like the one who takes care of them. :) Never forget that we all step back, but that only gives us greater momentum to move forward again. See, everything has a positive, you had your birthday, you enjoyed it, now back to the millstone, right?

I think your husband and I are alike, I couldn't ever take care of the checkbook, my husband does it all, I just was never good at math. ..... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :D

Have a great rest of the weekend!!

Birthdays are not good for the waist line. Back to behaving yourself. You are doing great.

Your shrimp pasta salad looks good. My girlfriend and her mother took me out for a birthday lunch. It was really good. Brought half of it home for supper.
