Walking more carefully - oops!

Saturday, March 09, 2013

Back to the treadmill or walking tapes - today I went out with the dogs and was enjoying my walk and: hit a patch of ice and down I went. Sitting in a chair with ice on my knee instead of under my fee. Have to watch it now since I took the brunt of the fall on my knee and my hands. Since on Coumadin I have been very careful but sure messed it up today.
Guess I'll see what happens and if I can walk later today.

Sorry that you fell and that the knees took the brunt. Take special care of those knees since we rely on them so much and they seem to be so easily hurt. emoticon

I guess we've all done that at one time or another. Mine on ice was down our front stairs, and the ice was so slick I went from stepping on the first step to on my back at the bottom with no time to think. For some reason, I wasn't hurt at all.

The last time I fell... was just walking on a sidewalk. No tripping, no raised portion of the sidewalk, nothing.... and this time I twisted my ankle. Weird.

Ice is the thing... hope you get to feeling better soon.
