Fabulous website for back issues!

Saturday, March 09, 2013

If you find yourself thinking about your back more than you should, due to aches and pains, then this website is for you.

The site is wonderful for diagnosing muscle imbalances... no matter what the cause.

It provides the necessary stretches and exercises to lengthen and strengthen, thereby bringing your body to greater harmony and consequent freedom from pain.

If so, this link will bring you to the"Fighting Chronic Pain" home page... when you get there, find topics under the logo in the red bar that includes:
Dysfunction Tests,
Self Massage.

The topics are kinda hard to see (small white font on red background), which is why I'm pointing them out here.

Click on one of the topics there and it will open a wealth of information:

Here's to greater understanding and less pain.
: )

Just wanted to add this contribution... two books that Sparker Berry recommends for back pain:

e akthrough-Muscle/dp/0071627138
/ ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid
= 1363023164&sr=1-5&keywords=hea

and... Pain-Without-Drugs-Surgery/dp/
1 585189847/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&q
i d=1363023298&sr=8-1&keywords=f
i x+your+own+pain+without+drugs+
o r+surgery

Thx, Berry!

UPDATE 3/31/13
Good news, I have found the modified "thread a needle" shoulder stretch extremely beneficial to my neck and shoulders... as well as reducing the curve in my spine.

Originally I could do one side easily but struggled with the right arm threaded under the body to the left... as this stretched my curve in the opposite direction... back and neck no likey!

Been doing the stretch before fitness classes at the Y while everyone's sitting around waiting for class to start, and for about 15 minutes every nite while watching TV. There's even room for me to do it on my coffee table computer chair. LOL

Looking forward to seeing what additional positive changes will come with time and practice. When you get as old as I am, you'll take just about anything! ha

It's so worth the stretching routine. As I've gotten older, stretching has become IMPERATIVE to include in my routine.

Thanks for the referral! -- I've also forwarded it on to others.
