Just wanted to add this contribution... two books that Sparker Berry recommends for back pain:
Good news, I have found the modified "thread a needle" shoulder stretch extremely beneficial to my neck and shoulders... as well as reducing the curve in my spine.
Originally I could do one side easily but struggled with the right arm threaded under the body to the left... as this stretched my curve in the opposite direction... back and neck no likey!
Been doing the stretch before fitness classes at the Y while everyone's sitting around waiting for class to start, and for about 15 minutes every nite while watching TV. There's even room for me to do it on my coffee table computer chair. LOL
Looking forward to seeing what additional positive changes will come with time and practice. When you get as old as I am, you'll take just about anything! ha
