what can i improve upon and do i need any help or advice

my challenge was to not snack so much at night.

i am actually making great strides in this probelm. someone had suggested to have a string cheese before bed. so right before bed, i have a string cheese and i lay a bag of grapes out. last night, i came in the kitchen several times, and acually snacked on the grapes. and do you know what my husband had the nerve to do? he layed out half bag of girl scout peanut butter cookies. he layed them right by my grapes. was he trying to help or doing it as a joke? i dont know, but it really ticked me off and gave me more determination to not eat them.. i actually wanted to prove a point to him. i did not eat one single cookie

do i need more advice or motivation? i can always use extra motivation and help.

    emoticon on not being eating those cookies your dh laid out! You showed him!!! I like the idea of having string cheese and grapes for an evening snack. I used to have that, too! Thanks for the reminder!

    emoticon Good for you on staying away from the cookies. Not sure why men do that, but Tommy will also buy bags and boxes of sweets knowing this is my weakness and then offers it to me. It's so irritating sometimes. You're doing great, so just keep it up!

    Loving sabotage. That's what it is sometimes. My husband has done that type of thing to me. He knows I like the cookies so he made them readily accessible. I think it was fear on his part that if I got healthy I'd leave him. Now he's more comfortable and actually helping me stay away from that type of stuff.

Good for you staying away from the cookies! Hooray!

    Good for you. Evening snacking is and always has been my biggest challenge and I have a husband who will sit with a bowl of ice cream....drives me crazy. I have found that if I plan a cup of tea and a small snack like grapes, a couple of crackers or a piece of cheese it leaves me not feeling deprived and still stays with my program. Keep working, sounds like you are doing great.
