Wonderful day - kids healthier - aides healthier - FRIDAY!!!!!

Friday, March 08, 2013

Had a terrific day today. It was a relaxed day and everyone was feeling pretty good.

I went to the pool after school and swam, did a water aerobics class, and then water jogged/ran for a total of 3 hours on top of my normal exercise. This was the second time this week I went to the pool. I love doing this because I don't feel like it is exercise - it is just fun for me. I relax in the water and it feels like I am floating on air when I get in the pool. I don't feel fat, old, or self-conscious. I feel free and empowered. My body works like it did when I was a teen. My legs don't hurt. My stress just runs off down my back like water off a duck's back.

Ate healthy - I was STARVING by the time I got home but Ed had made a lovely healthy dinner - chicken breast, hash browns, spinach, and Brussels sprouts.

Overall, I would say it was a successful day.

Everyone have a great night's sleep and a restful day tomorrow.

Mine will be busy and so if I don't check in or keep it short, it is because I have a full day of interviewing a potential new minister for our church. We start with lunch at noon, dinner, interviews, and then end with a service at 7:30 and a meeting afterward. It will be a LONG day but hopefully it will result in making an offer for the man to join our church.

I will try to check in before heading out but if not, I will see you all soon.

Blessings and a night filled with sweet dreams of shrinking bodies and growing spirits and hearts.

i love that you compared it to the of a water rolling off a ducks feathers. i grew up on a farm and i loved watching the ducks bathe and the water glisten down them. something about that is just so relaxing

It's great to hear you had a good day at school. Good for you for getting lots of swimming exercise in today. That is a long time in the pool. . .I'm still hoping to take a senior aquatics exercise class in the late spring and summer. Being I have achy bones it has been recommended to me by my Dr. I even bought the suit but honestly haven't even tried it on yet. I know it's going to be hard wearing a swimsuit in public after 25 years, can't believe it's been that long but it has. Enjoy your well deserved weekend off. I hope you find a really good person for your new minister. Take good care.
