Slight change in plans... I did not go to the gym today, I got the chance to run outdoors today since the ice has melted and the sun was out. I had to run intervals. I don't know if that was because I ran 5 days this week, or if it was just because I wasn't on the treadmill. I did 5 minute running intervals. I started out taking one minute walking breaks, but at the end it was more like three minutes. Still, I finished 3.2 miles in 36 minutes even with the walking, so I must run faster when I am not on the treadmill. It was definitely harder running outside than on the treadmill. It doesn't help that I have a little chest congestion. I do have to figure out something different do with my keys. Right now I wear them on a lanyard, but I hate the jingling with every step. I think I want to get one of those little pouches that goes on a shoe. If anyone can point me in the right direction as to where to purchase such a thing I would appreciate it.

Took the dog out for more than 5 miles this morning, and will walk him at least twice more today. I also got on the bike for 20 minutes. Now I am working on push ups. My new goal is to able to do 200 jumping jacks without stopping. I can do 130 right now. I am not certain how long it will take me to achieve this goal, but I figure a couple of months should do.

I am actually looking forward to my rest days this weekend. I will still get plenty of exercise just walking the dog, but that is much lower intensity than most of what I did this week. Tomorrow is my regular routine of Farmer's Market and my parents' house for lunch.

    Even if you don't have a Target nearby, you can order online. Some Walmarts have those kinds of key managers. How many keys are you tslking about! If just one or two, you could try tucking them in your sport bra , maybe in a sock so they don't poke The Girls too much?! Now at Walmart I actually got a sport tank contraption with built in bra, essentially a camisole but has the sturdier racerback straps - and built into one of the straps is a little pocket which is big enough for a small key, or like my FitBit, or smaller cell phones. I'm not looking at it now: but I think both models I got were Danskins?? So then I wear it under a tshirt. Not yet brave enough to just wear it (plus it's still kinda cold - I might in the heat of summer and hope I don't get arrested for indecent exposure of my Bat Wings...

    Amazon.com has all kinds of cool pockets, pouches, wrist-bands, various ways to manage keys, ID, cash etc (who knows, maybe even dog treats? I know there are collapseable dog water bowls that tuck into a pocket for people walking & running their dogs!!).


    Don't necessarily need to buy it from Amazon - many times jist seeing the wide range of possibilities online make it easier to have an image in mind when I am shopping locally - like if you have a Dicks sporting goods, Sports Authority, Academy sports, etc even Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops, or like PetSmart, PetCo, places like that, because there are other activities people do where they also want to keep up with keys and not have lanyards jangling - so you might very well be able to find something locally!

    Hope ya fine something!! And good going with the outdoor thing!! (can even find cool neon or reflective vests, collars etc for your dog, so he can go with you too!).

    I just love running outdoors. I'm glad you went. I just toss my key in my sports bra. I do have a little pouch that I use sometimes when I need to carry ID or cash. I didn't think I would like it, but I don't even know it is on when I run.

    Great work all week with your running program. Cooper must really love all those walks! I have been working on jumping jacks and pushups for a while now. Did you know that in our measurements tracker there is a place to log monthly howmany sit ups ( my DH , is helping me do "old school" situps) and pushups you can do? I just found it out and plan to keep tracking them with my other measurements. Woo Hoo on the waistline! Bet you are already about out of that danger zone with all your exercise this week! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Great job on the run.. it is definitely harder to run outside since you have to propel your body and don't have the benefit of the treadmill belt... but it is so much more enjoyable. Keep up the good work!

    Leslie, so VERY PROUD OF YOU !! And the Dawggie is ONE FORTUNATE DAWGGIE !! WOOHOOOO ! BUT !! AM Glad you are taking it EAsiER tomorrow cos of the breathing with the congestion ! phew !!!!!

    Love that you will be walking,,,, remember if your parking ur car a bit aways from the farmers market to COUNT that time ALSO on walking ! WOOHOOO COUNT IT ALL !!! OH YEAH !! Add in EVERY MINUTE YOU CAN !! Tonight I WANNA add in some time with one of the grands (if I can get them outside !) to go for a SHORT WALK !! I went out last night,, felt REALLY GOOD, can of course feel some BURNING of the left foot,,,so yeah it NEEDS to be VERY SHORT !!! I do ALL the Dr has said,,,, now he's saying "Diane, you should NOT be doing ANY really at all". WEll this I DO NOT WANT TO DO. SO it'll only be a 10 min one. If that's to much,,,and I am JUST TESTING the foot,,,to see if it IS,,,if so,,,, I'll STOP for the next month on "regular walking" which BREAKS MY HEART !! For I ADORE WALKING to the MAX !! I used to walk 3 miles a DAY !! AND It was sooo MUCH FUN !!! Made the weight come RIGHT OFF !! Last SUn I ate VERY BADLY !!!! had some KFC chicken,,,and an Ice cream Sundae,,,,with HOT FUDGE and MALT llll IN HORRIBLE TURN I GAINED ,,, and I was !!! BEYOND HORRIFIED,, FOUR LBS !!!! OH DEAR ME !!!!!!! So ALL This week,,, I've been WORKING HARD TO GET THAT BACK OFF !! OH DEAR ME !! OH DEAR MY !!!!!! I had LOST that much last week,,,, so I KNEW I COULD IT !!! AND I HAVE !! WOOOHOOOO !!! I am BACK DOWN to 214 !! OH YEAH !! HAPPY !! HOPEFULLY over this 24 hr span I'll GO DoWN MORE !!!!! Maybe 1/2 to a lb????? I'd LOVE it to be ONE LB !! Than I'll be down 5lbs in 2 weeks ! WOOHOOOO !!!!
    We shall see,,,,, hope you were able to find the key holder,,, MANY gave you the right places,, Dicks Sporting has them. I LOVE Dicks !! If you have a Cabella's they ALSO have them. I DOUBT if you have this around,, HAHAHA, but I LIVED In Maine before moving here, so yes I had one in my back yard,,, an LL Beans,,,and they of COURSE had them. Also check Sports Authority. About ANY Running /sports place. They should all have them.

    HAPPY WALKING this weekend,, that'll be OUT of the ? for us in Denver area,,, for AGAIN ,, the 2nd WEEKEND IN A ROW,,, GRRRRR and TIRED of ThIS !! ANother major Storm !!!! Around 11 Inches,,, is that NOT ENOUGH?????????

    emoticon getting outside today. Running is something I know nothing about so won't touch that, but I am impressed. Keep doing all you are doing and I love your new goal. The key thing, is there an athletic store near you? They likely sell them or maybe look at the Spark store? We have a Running Room close to us and that's where I would go. Also at the gym, check it out or ask anyone you have seen there who runs.

    Great job on the outside run! I hiked 9.4 miles today but running is a totally different thing, and something I'm working toward as well.
