Slight change in plans... I did not go to the gym today, I got the chance to run outdoors today since the ice has melted and the sun was out. I had to run intervals. I don't know if that was because I ran 5 days this week, or if it was just because I wasn't on the treadmill. I did 5 minute running intervals. I started out taking one minute walking breaks, but at the end it was more like three minutes. Still, I finished 3.2 miles in 36 minutes even with the walking, so I must run faster when I am not on the treadmill. It was definitely harder running outside than on the treadmill. It doesn't help that I have a little chest congestion. I do have to figure out something different do with my keys. Right now I wear them on a lanyard, but I hate the jingling with every step. I think I want to get one of those little pouches that goes on a shoe. If anyone can point me in the right direction as to where to purchase such a thing I would appreciate it.
Took the dog out for more than 5 miles this morning, and will walk him at least twice more today. I also got on the bike for 20 minutes. Now I am working on push ups. My new goal is to able to do 200 jumping jacks without stopping. I can do 130 right now. I am not certain how long it will take me to achieve this goal, but I figure a couple of months should do.
I am actually looking forward to my rest days this weekend. I will still get plenty of exercise just walking the dog, but that is much lower intensity than most of what I did this week. Tomorrow is my regular routine of Farmer's Market and my parents' house for lunch.
