There are so many habits that you know are bad but continue to do. Stress eating has always been a really bad one for me. Lately I have been all about the stress eating, pizza, chinese food, deli sandwiches, burritos and hamburgers. All high in carbs and I won't even mention the sugar intake. With the stress eating comes the inability to get off the couch to even do simple things like clean. With the stress eating comes not sleeping. With the stress eating comes not caring how I look.
My sister and I started a happiness project and March is all about stress management. Learning new ways of coping with my stress. So far I am trying writing in a journal when I am stressed, sketching pictures and working on crafts. That is this weeks experiment. I have also created a few challenges for myself, replace breakfast with a green smoothie in the mornings during the work week, finish my couch to 5k program and make sleep important by establishing a good night time routine during the work week.
I know I can accomplish all these small goals to lead to a much bigger goal, I just need to kick out the stress and stress eating! Not as easy as it sounds of course but I need better habits, so March is dedicated to making a few better habits to replace some old one's.
Either way there is a taste of spring in the air and I am going to take advantage of it by walking, dog park, bike riding and gardening this weekend. No stress eating for this girl!
