My opinion of the Citadel DLC for ME 3

Yeah, not anything to do with Spark, but this is my only outlet.
Worth every penny. It's complete fan service smush, but it's just, awesome.
I haven't lived this series from it's release, like my BF, which was 2007-2008. I didn't have the waiting for each new chapter. I played back to back to back. DLC and all. I loved this series and I cared for the characters, even loved one. This DLC gives you most of them back. (there was 1 that was completely not there and one, that I swear they added something quickly after realizing they missed him)
I got to fight with WREX again and he was his bad ass self. The jokes and tongue in cheek humor that picked at things from the fandom. The "I should go." was just epic. Joker's tale, well, I thought I was going to wet myself. Telling Jack and Miranda they should just kiss and get it over with. Bioware did good.
Now, serious gamers may have an issue with it. It was light and funny in the middle of the end of the galaxy. It was not made to be played in the course of the game. It was for the fans, for the people you know had loved these characters and didn't get to say good bye. I am sad now. I know it's over now and I hate it. I want more. It's a strange and odd feeling. I want to just keep playing the DLC over and over. I want to spend the time with every squad member.
Now, if you have read of my other ranting at Bioware for screwing up things with Thane in ME 3. I no longer want to fling flame bags of dog poop at them. They got me. They got me good. I know it's a bloody game, but after Thane, I had no desire to romance any other character, so I didn't. The memorial and the never received messages, (completely messed up my story, but don't care, I can re-write if I want to follow the canon) and Shepard actually getting to cry (like I did over and over) made it better.
And I guess being devoted counted for something. At the end, they surprised me. I got to see him one last time. Yeah, I freaked my dogs out with my reaction and cried like a baby. Then played it again just to see it again. This is something you didn't get if you romanced someone else in ME3.
Oh, it's complete smush and I loved it. My BF is the same way. His Shepard was a man ho, but that's a man for you. Plus the options for a male Shepard were more and more varied in the love dept. Nothing beats a raging Krogan, and two is even better.
As for the mission, yeah, they went there. I am doing my damnest not to give too much away. There was so much in this. If you really loved this series, you should get this DLC. It's a bittersweet good bye. (though the fatalistic comments at the end were a little much and the reason I think you shouldn't play this on your first play through.
Anyone else play it?
