I'm going to party, partly because it's snowing outside and I didn't have to go to work. But mostly because today is my 100th day of doing at least 10 minutes of exercise!!
I started this exercise streak last year, and except for the 2 days I've taken off due to surgery, I've managed to keep it going. Some days it wasn't easy; some days I would have paid any amount to not have to find 10 minutes worth of exercise, just because of some dumb promise I made myself. But it has become a habit, and lately, even when I don't feel like working out, I don't feel settled until I do.
As I'm the type to need a visual reward to keep me going:
This is what my goal looks like: my crystal vase, spot of honor on the kitchen table, that holds my 100 quarters.
This is a close-up of the quarters, plus a few extras. The smiley face bead because it actually makes me smile, the silver cross pin to remind of where I came from and where I'm going, and the five buck tip that someone gave me, because it reminds me that I'm working hard, and I'm worth it!
So on to the next 100 days of exercising...
