Another plug for Hemp Protein

Friday, March 08, 2013

I drink a protein shake every morning. I used to use Whey protein until my homeopathic doctor told me about Hemp protein. The one he recommended has 16 g of protein. He told me that the veggie based protein is digested quicker and better. I believe it is helping me with my anemia and energy level. I mix it with hershey coco powder, stevia to taste, and 2 tbl of chia seeds. I can't say enough about this as it really fills me up and keeps me satisfied but more importantly I swear I just feel better!
So I know I have mentioned it before but thought that it deserved another mention.
I hope all my sparks buddies are doing just great today.
Make it a terrific day and wonderful week end.

Glad to hear you are noticing the benefits of using hemp protein. I love it! I usually mix it with plain kerfir then top it with some fruit and eat it with a spoon as if it were yogurt. I also like it in my green smoothies that I make with grapefruit, pineapple and cucumber juice then blended with the powder and greens like spinach or mixed greens. Yummy : )

  Hi guy's,
For those in Australia, you can purchase hemp protein from my hemp store in Woy Woy, NSW called Gnostic Hemporium or you may order online at We realise that quality hemp products can be difficult to find in Australia, so we offer only the best brands from Canada and America. They are all Cert. Organic and we ship daily Australia wide. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask.
Thank you,

I am not sure if hemp protein is available in
Australia, but I'd love to try it. When I visited
my friends in Florida last year, my friends
introduced me to hemp mikl and I really liked it.
I'm glad that you have found something you like.

I'm lovin' it! On the other side of the spectrum, I wish more people would realize how bad food will mentally and physically bring them down. Thanks for sharing, Sallie!

I would imagine that I'd have to go to a health food store to get anything hemp in my area. I've always heard good things, but never knew anyone that actually used it. I may have to look into this one! emoticon

I'm glad you are feeling well and energized!!

I love, love, love hemp hearts! They are such a good source of protein. I use to have trouble getting in my protein amouts for the day. Since I discovered hemp protein, I have no problems getting my protein allowance in each day. I just take spoonfuls of the hearts and eat them right off the spoon. They taste like a cross between sunflower seeds and pinenuts. I think they are delicious. They really stave off cravings and keep me feeling full for many many hours. I can't say enough good things about hemp. Thank you Sallie for this post!

So glad you found something that works well for you!
I need to look for it here, I already know they don't have hemp seeds but this may be worth a look.

I'll look for hemp protein. I've never seen it. I've done whey and soy. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll try to drink mine without stevia or any sweetener because I think those sweeteners cause sweet cravings in me and I usually don't miss it if I give it up for a while. We each find what works for us and maybe hemp protein will do me good. I'll try!
