Holding my tongue

Friday, March 08, 2013

I am amazed now watching other peoples food intake.
I was one of those people. Not really understanding portion sizes or how food could effect my mood. fitness and health.
I have been tracking my food and sodium intake since my heart attack in September.
I feel fantastic. I have loss 32lbs and I am on my way to a healthier life style.
It is hard for me not to say something to these people like "you are killing yourself eating that double cheeseburger, fries and extra large soda!!"
But I hold my tongue. Do they really want to hear this? I didn't.

    Congratulations on your success!

And no, they probably don't want to hear it..... being ready to answer when they ask will be a great strategy, but holding your tongue in the meantime will be a huge effort...

You can do this!

Yeah, when you lose weight, or stop smoking or drinking you want to tell the world! But it's true, nobody wants to hear it. If they ask for help, that's a different story.
I'm glad you're feeling better!
