FLAPJACK DAY, I am amazed how many things can make with Oat Bran.

Thursday, March 07, 2013

Unfortunately we had to spend a lot of time moving furniture we had moved before DH surgery, We had to take time to think every move through since we had to move that heavy mattress again --alas.
I have to admit o eating so well and yet under carbs. I am not sure others would be very interested in this but today I used egg and oat bran to make an apple flavored Flapjack,. I spread just one tablespoon of Vanilla yogurt over the top and I cored and cut an apple in to rings and cooked them to tender crisp and warm and added them. I ate that thing with knife and fork and I was full.

We had errands to do and DH was hungry I had eaten 2 hours before him but I still was not hungry. I made myself a bowl of greens and some cottage cheese but my mind went back to Flapjacks i left the tabel and made a large one in my bigger skillet . I spread it around and it cooked fast I flipped it and had a Hot Oat bran tortilla. I filled it with my greens and cheese and it was really good.
I just keep coming up with ideas for these things I am going to make a bigger mix and use the big griddle to see if they freeze well. I have photos but I still have more homework to do.
I did make Spark recipe for Pork low salt Sausage. It tasted very good and we ate it with leftover kale, cabbage and onions so it was a very good day.
Almost midnight Pat in Maine.
