analyzing nutrition information - and hunger pangs

I did pretty well today overall, and after looking at my nutrition information, I see where my problems are in getting my carbs, fats, and protein in the proper balance. That seems like it should just fall into place, but it hasn't yet.
I looked at my high carbohydrate items, and they were fruit, fruit juice, and bread and potatoes. So, I think I will work on reducing the potatoes in favor of more vegetables; and as for the fruit, cutting the amount down by a quarter will be enough. The juice is okay too, as it is a half cup of pure apple cider.
That's what I am going to try for now.
There is one interesting thing that happened to me on the way home from work today: my stomach growled from hunger! In one way it was uncomfortable, in another way it felt good, as the way I had been eating I didn't feel that physical signal at all often. When I got home I had a big glass of water before getting to work on dinner, and had some home made dill pickles while preparing the meal.
