And yet again...

Wow! Today was my fourth day at the gym this week. For some reason running seemed a little easier today. I would think that I would be exhausted by now, having logged over 79 miles already this week, but I am not. Tired? You bet! But not exhausted. We will see how I feel after I get back from the gym tomorrow though. I am definitely taking my two rest days this weekend. I earned them this week. It was good to get to the gym every day this week, but I think I will go back to my 3x a week next week. It feels less frantic to space out my gym workouts.

Today's 5% challenge question has to do with encouragement and advice on my new habit I want to develop of running outdoors. I can always use encouragement. You guys are the best for improving my morale, and pushing me to work harder. (Not that I could have worked much harder this week. lol) And advice is always welcome... I just can't think of the right questions to ask right now. Though, I do wonder how you carry your house keys while you are running?

Cooper is snoring in my lap as I type this. In fact, I am typing one handed since he is sleeping on my other hand. He is a happy pup since I walked him over 10 miles today. He is a good motivator to get moving and stay moving.

    I use my bra to store keys. Also, many running shorts and pants have a tiny pocket sewn in the waistband for a key.

    I know that some put those items in their bra. Otherwise a pocket with a zipper?

    I feel so helpless even trying to come up with how to encourage you to run more than 79 miles a week when I'm walking 2 miles a day if I'm lucky, and proud of it.

You go, girl!! Wish I could be at the Marathon. Are you sharing date, time, place?

    You are awesome and diligent on your work outs.

Carrying while I run, I just have a belt/fanny pack. Door key (not the whole ring), phone, and ID w/insurance card (just in case).

    You are lucky you are young enough that your body lets you put on all those miles! Mine DEFINITELY lets me know when I've overdone it. I must have pulled something in my knee a week ago in Zumba class and it's been bothering me ever since. When I did some running on Wednesday it was letting me know it wasn't happy. emoticon I have to be careful because I don't want to injure it and be sidelined for weeks or months! I bet Cooper won't ever be an overweight dog with you as his owner!!!!

    Wow, that's a lot of miles this week. Keep up the great work. I have a velcro pouch that hooks to my shoe laces. It's tight so doesn't bounce. I keep one key, money and my address in there (just in case something happens when I'm running outside). Didn't cost much and is really worth it. Good luck on your goals.

    For the key,,,, like someone already said,,, I use the coil key ring that goes around my wrist (I no longer can run, but still use this).

Do not forget when you take time off for rest this weekend,,,, if you do nothing for exercise (rather for the team landing that'd be on Thurs/Fri LOLOLOL It just helps with the timing HAHAHA) that you put "resting" besides "Exercise" so it doesn't go down as a 0. YOU DO DESERVE IT !! U WORK SO HARD hon !!!!

    There are some running pants that have tiny zippered pockets in them for a key. Also I think there are little pouches that can hook onto a shoe, wrist, etc to hold a key. Or you can stick it in your sports bra haha. tupperware makes a sports bottle with a bottom that unscrews that you can put a key in also, if you run with a water bottle. Also I remember from years back those stretchy coiled wrist band keychains. Hope that helps with some ideas :)
