On November 29th I had a major knee surgery, and I was on crutches for 9 weeks and I just stopped using my cane three days ago.

I'm back to work, but only for about 6 - 12 hours a week. Right now it's more like 6 instead of 12.

I rode the stationary bike at the clinic yesterday, and the day before my mom and I went to the store to walk around for 20 minutes. I was on the bike for 20 minutes too. For myself that is NOT a long time. I used to go for 30 minute to 2 hour walks outside. I have not gone for a walk since before surgery with my sister's dog.

I feel like I'm stir crazy. I want to be able to go outside and go for walks and be able to do something without nerve spasms in my knee :(

Today because of the last two days I have had really bad nerve spasms. It's really disconcerting. And I'm feeling like I can't do anything for my weight loss.

The best thing I can do is to PREVENT myself from randomly binging and make sure I monitor what I eat, since I'm doing a lot more sitting than I want to.

I started with a leisurely stroll and am now doing over ten miles per day on the recumbent cycle plus strength traiing and stretching exercises as well as working in the gardens. Keep focused for success. You can do it. Go for it.
