What's for Breakfast Today?

Thursday, March 07, 2013

So, I normally have a bowl of cereal for breakfast during the week, but someone said something last nit about a peanut butter and banana sandwich and it made me really want a peanut butter/banana/honey sandwich, so I decided that it would make a good breakfast. :) BUT, I say I normally eat a bowl of cereal because as I was eating my breakfast, the news people told me that today was national cereal day. :/ Major fail on my part. lol But, I did pretty good today with food. I could have done a little better, but I'm pretty sure I stayed within my calories, just possibly on the higher end of them. Dinner was my downfall. We went to Applebee's and I got the 7oz steak with broccoli and broccoli, no butter sauce or whatever it is that they cook their broccoli in. I didn't eat all my steak, only about half, but we did get the spinach artichoke dip and I did have some of that. We also talked about sharing a triple chocolate meltdown because it was just one of those days, but we were no longer hungry by the time we were done. My workout yesterday KILLED my legs and so today I have hardly been able to move at all so that stopped any legit workout, but I did still break a sweat. I did some dancing with the babies, but the biggest thing I did was pump balloons. Yes, you read that correctly. Do you remember me saying a couple weeks ago that some friends of mine tp'd and Saran wrapped my car? Well tonight, I got one of them back. James works a 24hr shift as a paramedic every Thursday/Friday and so I thought I should leave him a surprise to come home to. Now let me explain, he gets to sleep quite a bit during his shift so he's not completely dead when he gets home, but he is still usually tired. But, I thought he should come home to a party in his bedroom. So, I got permission from the other guys who live in the house to go in and decorate. So Aimee and I lined his door with sticky notes along with putting them throughout the room, put streamers all over the place and filled his room with balloons. 276 to be exact! I bought two hand pumps for us to use and we were definitely sweating! Here are some pictures for you to enjoy. I'm sure I'll be able to tell you tomorrow about his reaction :)
