Marching along in March

Thursday, March 07, 2013

If you FAIL, never give up because F.A.I.L. means, "First Attempt In Learning." emoticon
Found this in a spark blog. Liked it and added it my motivational folder.. Today was my weekly weigh in day for the gym challenge. (Weight ins due in by Friday.) emoticon
The scales just laughed at me .8 pound weight lose. For seven days of work. I told my self all the quotes about the scales I share with Spark friends. I have several posted around the house to remind me each day why I am on this journey.

Don’t let the numbers on the scales effect your day … I need to find a way to get these messages to convince the little voice in my head that tells me. emoticon
“Why do you spend so much time in the gym working out and planning meals’’. The scales just laughed at you as you looked down and saw you only lost .8 of pound lose. “Not even an entire pound lost for seven days of work.” I know muscle weighs more than fat, and you can lose inches and that is important part of this journey. emoticon
My size 16 jeans reminded me of this fact when I took them out of the dryer this afternoon.

I am not going to let that little voice win the battle. I know its not going to stop but I hope she gets a case of laryngitis this week. emoticon .

The four-season team challenge is teaching me ways to fix veggies and even try some I have never tried! Remembering to get me times and write in a gratitude journal. An other Spark friend reminded me we can be thankful trigger foods and cravings this way we know foods to keep out of the house and help us get a plan in place to control our selves when these foods find a way into the house.

At my work out calendar shows I have worked out at least 10 minutes for the last 30 days emoticon
Have taken rest days from the gym but do something at home every day
Still working on the BP but thankfully it has been our of the 140/ 90 emoticon emoticon
Lower the sodium intake is getting easier each day just have to watch those ‘’TV ‘’ dinners even the Smart ones and Adkins are high in sodium may be low in calories and help me get the protein fat and Carbs correct the salt count was a shock to me.
Finding that the frozen veggies taste so much better and I waste less since I can take a severing from the bag and put it back in the freezer.
Yes water and rest days are going well emoticon

Spark time remains very important to my journey to a healthy new and the support from friends has kept me Sparking along to the finish line. emoticon

You are taking great steps and even a small loss is a loss!

Keep getting that BP down and as you know, I am working on this, to, my friend.

I like what Beckyliz had to say. Let it go and know that what you are doing is helping your mood, bones, etc.

Keep up the good work and NEVER give up! emoticon emoticon

I so relate to the small or no weight loss, weight gain while eating healthy, drinking 8 glasses of water daily and exercising 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. But for today I have to let it go.
emoticon emoticon emoticon The exercise is good for my bones, my mood and the food tastes great and is good for me.

    Awwwww . . . (((((HUGS))))) emoticon emoticon

Glad you had the sense to remind yourself about how good those jeans feel! THAT'S what is important. Don't give up. You know, that negative voice that keeps replaying in your head is like a tape recording that plays over and over again till we hit the stop button. Not easy! But I hope you can because you've made great progress and deserve to feel really positive about that!
