I quit McDonald's after working there 3 or 4 months. There isn't as much drama BUT there is the stress of the breakfast, lunch, and dinner rushes and your shift manager can get on you at times and be a real pain. I'm the same age as you.. and I couldn't keep on top of it without getting stressed. If I were you I'd go for a nice relaxing cashier job at a retail location (that's not private retail).

Besides all that.. I just thought of something. You get a 50% off discount at McDonald's and when you forget to bring lunch, dinner, or snack during your break it will be REAL TEMPTING to just buy something (as if McDonald's isn't cheap enough). It was one of the times in my life where I gained 10 pounds in a few months even though I had a FULL TIME job there and was working on my feet all day. The extra exercise didn't even keep the weight from piling on.

hey you, long time no see! I am right there with you on the job thing, I've been working in the same place for 6 years too and I know it's time for a change. I am considering looking for a new job but it scares me bc at least now I know there is a pay check coming in and that my bills get paid - change is scarey but i think i'm going to need to so something soon to save my mental health. I also find myself wondering where my summber grove went! I was so pumped! I need to get my motivation back. You look awesome btw and congrats, 227! whooo hooo!

You look super pretty and yay on 227!! emoticon

I know what you mean about the drama and all of that stuff, and it's hard because even if you try to stay out of it people try to suck you back in. It totally stinks.

I am sorry your job is affecting so many aspects of your life, I am glad that you have applied to other places and hopefully you can find a job that doesn't have negative affects on the other aspects of your life. emoticon

I think I know what you are saying about different diets. Most diets do work. Its us as humans that dont always stick with it all the way thru if we dont see quick results. You have done a great job on your weightloss. Its changing our lifestyles which is the hard part in loosing weight. Each day is a struggle for me, but Im still going to try and stay below my calorie range. I know what you mean about stress at work, i went thru that myself. I hope something comes up where its better for you.
