discarding a commitment, finding time.

Thursday, March 07, 2013

I dropped a very important commitment this week. In the long run (in the short run, too, unfortunately), it will set me back in both time and money, but I simply couldn't meet the commitment. I need more time for other things.
I will return to this commitment in about 6 months, I think, but it was just too much at this time.
I feel good about my job, but not about anything else in my life right now. I am so grateful for my job. I do worthwhile things and I am appreciated there.

oh, I can't tell you how many times my job has saved my butt. And yes, it's ok to say no. I used to do extensive volunteer work and there comes a time. Be peaceful with you

It's important to take time for ourselves. If you couldn't meet your commitments then it was smart to cancel! Remember you are the most important person in your life!
