This week Iíll be featuring some of my classmates from the SP Class of March 4-10, 2007. Monday kicked off our classí 6th sparkiversary and I just want to applaud those who have really determined to stick with SP and reach their goals, maintain, or keep going at it (people like myself).
So today, I will begin by featuring ELENNARE. She joined SP 6 years ago today.
Here's ELENNARE SparkStory in her own words:
"I have lost weight twice so far with Spark. From when I started through the end of 2008, I lost 10 pounds. Got busy, stopped exercising and watching what I ate, and gained some of it back. Started working at it again, and was beginning to make a bit of progress. Then, I had to take a break from working to reach my goal, on account of having a baby. After taking some time to recover, I got back to work. Since I had been working on this whole lifestyle change for so long, I had a strong foundation to work from. As a result, I was able to lose 20 lbs in 2012. After working at this for 6 years, I'm finally getting close to my final goal. I've got somewhere between 15 and 20 more pounds to go. I am also the lightest I've been since college!
It's a bit tricky now, trying to juggle work, toddler/family time, and exercise, but I'm starting to figure out how to make it all fit and am well on my way to reaching my goal. It'll be good to figure out how to be flexible and adapt, because I don't think life is going to settle into a nice, easy pattern again for a LONG time.
We've also made some pretty good eating habit changes as a family, and are finding those much easier to stick with than the exercise. I hope, and am working towards, raising Little Bug with the healthy lifestyle so he doesn't have to try to adjust things on his own when he's older. I think we have a head start in that, because that little boy LOVES fruits and veggies, and we're taking full advantage of that. "
This is so awesome, ELENNARE!!! Way to go on making this not just a weight loss journey but a life style change journey.
