Feel much better, thank you all

Thursday, March 07, 2013

So, I did make it to bed earlier, needed that extra sleep, wouldn't have likely had that stupid accident if I hadn't been exhausted. Anyway, there are red blotches on my leg, but luckily no blisters... and it doesn't hurt today either.. except when I turned over on that side this a.m, but ok since.

Went for a nice long walk and no ill effects. Then I sat in the library and read a new book, remembering the really nice library in AB where I used to go and sit in the sun in a rocking chair and read. The library here, not so nice, but I found an empty table in the children's section, a small window, no nice sunny corner though. I was reading when a grandma and her g.d. came in. Her name was Lili and the character in my book was Lili. I started talking and we had a great chat, her gramma and me.

Came home and ate chocolate... sure sign it's not a good day, eh?
Must go escape back into my book... it's getting dark outside, 6:15pm, and the hour change this weekend, so next week, for all us S.A.D. sufferers, it won't be dark till after 7pm...Yeah...... If I was really organized, that could mean fitting in an extra walk after supper.. just for me.... anyone want to commit to joining me?

So sorry to hear that you were scalded, Lila, but glad that you're doing better! Lili and Lila might just get to be great friends - and the fact that you were paying attention to that opportunity despite what happened to you says a great deal about your being a people person. :)

In your last blog, you said you might have a job typing a manuscript for someone - great! You asked for ideas of what to charge per typed page, I would say that it depends on your ability and needs (and whether or not you want to do it), as well as her financial situation. The going rate varies a great deal from place to place. Given your typing skills, you could also bid on the whole job rather than quote a per page rate. Before you agreed to that, though, you might want to get a look at the manuscript to see whether or not it's difficult to read her handwriting.

Don't worry about a little chocolate...and you're back on the healthy eating horse today, I'll bet!

Have a great evening!
