Please Excuse the Mess...The Children Are Creating Memories

Thursday, March 07, 2013

I so needed to see this today!

I know this doesn't have a whole lot to do with weight loss, but it has a lot to do with my outlook on life. My outlook, I should mention, isn't always that rosy.

This phrase that I came across today--Please Excuse the Mess...The Children Are Creating Memories--I need to post this all around my house! Then I need to post it at my front door, for I'm always feeling embarrassed when someone pops in and the house isn't at its best.

Just think of all the calories you burn trying to pick up after the kids! Hope you are doing good with your weight loss goals. emoticon

I find that if I set up and organize a game to play with the kids it makes keeping the house clean much easier. For example, I will get out the bowling pins and tell the children they must pick up all their toys before we all play the game together. Then afterwards everyone helps pick up. I also tend to do the majority of house cleaning during naptime (depending on how old your kids are.) Just thought I would share a few tips that i use (i do not have my own kids but i babysit my nieces and nephews 4-5 days out of a week.) I know how hectic it can feel when the kids are rambunctious and the house is a mess.. it can put anyone in a slump. Also to answer the question you left on my blog... I am trying very hard to get skinny for summer just so i can enjoy the clothing that comes along with it, but afterwards as far as goals go, I just plan on continuing my routine, it will be alot less pressure to just live healthy but not have to think about summer coming up for a while. Have a good upcoming week! emoticon

I was at my cousins last week and she apologized for her house being a mess.
I told her that she has kids, (21/2, 1, and one on the way) I did not expect it to be spotless.

For kids, if it ain't mess, they aren't having fun (at any age). Let them have their fun...they'll be adults soon enough.
