What to do, what to do...

Actually no, I already know exactly what I'm going to do.
The problem is I'm second guessing (and third and fourth) whether it's the RIGHT thing to do.
I was planning to try out a running group tonight. One of my friend's invited me a few weeks ago but I still haven't made it yet. So tonight was supposed to be the night, but now it's not for the following reasons (excuses?)
I am exhausted. Is jet lag supposed to last this long? If it is I don't think I'm ever going out of my timezone again.
I have a bit of an iffy tummy. I'll spare you the details but it's not pleasant and I expect running would only make it worse.
My last run was hell. My knees felt like the bones were rubbing together, my calves, quads, side leg muscles (don't even know what they're called), hips, soles and upper feet hurt. My lungs were half their usual size and my arms felt like lead weights. I had to slow to a walk three times in half an hour. If that were my only experience of running I would never EVER do it again.
On the way home from work I developed pain in my right arch. Ooh and now I look at it, it's a bit swollen. Cack what have I done to my foot?? Scuze me a sec while I go get some ice.
Argh that's cold! Which brings me to my last point, which is most decidedly an excuse rather than reason; it's flipping cold outside. Apparently spring is just around the corner, but I'm still wearing 4 layers, and a scarf and gloves when I go outside.
But are they all just excuses rather than reasons? How do I tell the difference??
