Yesterday was a snow day for the DC Metro Region - the Federal Government office of personnel management (OPM) and all the agencies that follow their policy were closed for the day. The office where I work is one of those agencies.

I stayed home and ate way too much chicken, watched a couple of good movies, never even opened my laptop, hemmed some pants and shot a video of the huge beatiful snowflakes from the comfort of my front porch (tried to load the video for you but it was too large for SparkPeople).

I did'nt exercise or stretch or even worry about it because I was tired and not motivated to do all that much except lazily enjoy the unexpected day off from work and the pure white softness of the heavy wet snow.

I am happy to finally be able to embrace the miracle of NOT beating myself about what I should have, could have been doing instead of just enjoying the moment exactly as I am in the moment.
