Two Weeks to go - No more work

Thursday, March 07, 2013

I saw my doctor yesterday for my weekly check and my blood pressure was through the roof! He sent me to the hospital to have them evaluate me and the baby some more and said we would induce if my blood pressure didn't go down. That was a little scary. Also said that I was done working. Everything went well at the hospital. I was there for three hours getting my blood pressure checked every 15 minutes. It was really good then which I am thankful for. I really don't want to have to be induced. So now I am on partial bed rest. I can go out if I need to, but I pretty much just have to rest all day. I'm hoping this helps with my swollen feet. None of my shoes fit anymore!

I always have this image of someone (a doctor, partner, whatever) looming over a woman on bed rest, glaring, and yelling "RELAX!!!!" in the most unrelaxing way possible. Possibly they're shaking you by the shoulders, too.
I hope that it's not at all like this, of course! I hope you have good help and support, and can truly relax. Good thoughts your way!
