This week I've discovered that my favorite stressed-out food - plain Lays potato chips - just don't taste good to me anymore. I noticed it with the first chip - it tasted like fat and chemicals. Of course I ate a few more (6 total) before I gave it up altogether and realized they'd left an unpleasant aftertaste. A handful of raisins pretty much overcame that.
That afternoon I grabbed one of the Girl Scout thin mints a customer had brought us - and it was worse than the potato chips! Ewww - I used to love these? Even raisins couldn't get rid of that aftertaste.
So, thanks to the Sparkpeople Cookbook and a diet consisting primarily of whole foods - potato chips and Girl Scout cookies are no longer "favorites". HOORAY! and THANK YOU, CHEF MEG AND SPARKPEOPLE!!!!
