MONEY CAN BE CONTROLLING
So many times we let our lack of money or abundance of money control us. We have to learn to control our money and know that it is not money that makes up who we are. We are God’s people and His plan for us is not to be wrapped up in what we have and what we don’t have. We need to be sure that our attitude about money is not controlling how we feel every day. Money is just a means for us to buy the things we want or need. God should be our central focus in life and when we put Him first in all we do, our attitudes will be good no matter if we have money or not because we will have our priorities right.
Luke 16:13 “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, help us to put You first in all we do. Help us not to allow money to control us because You tell us that we can’t serve both You and money. Help us to live as You want us to live and not be consumed with thoughts of money and what it can buy us. We want to completely focus on You today Lord allowing us to have attitudes of gratitude and how we can help others rather than worrying about money. Thank You, Lord, for all You do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
We need to be sure that our attitude about money is not controlling how we feel every day.
We are God’s people and His plan for us is not to be wrapped up in what we have and what we don’t have.
Let’s make sure our thoughts and actions today are pleasing to God and
ask Him to help us not to fall into temptation of worldly things.
1 Timothy 6:9 “But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.” (NLT)
