Ode to my 1st Fitbit

Thursday, March 07, 2013

Oh, the days we spent together- every day, you and me, counting steps, struggling with the running programs, hiking, getting wet, searching for you when I forgot where I put you when I showered, fishing you out of the laundry basket before I washed- I'll really miss you.
It was a day about a month ago, I noticed a crack in your body where you curve to clip on me. It was a hairline and I thought I might use glue but decided against it. I tried to baby you but the crack got bigger. One day, to my horror, you split! Ahhhhhh! The black part of your casing fell off. I could clip it back on but I had to be really careful. I knew our days were numbered. You still work but it's getting harder and harder to keep you intact. You're in the box being saved "in case" the new Zip gets lost or has any problems.
I'm really going to miss you as I continue my journey with your little Zip friend.

Mine cracked also and when I contacted Fitbit I was told it was past warranty. They did offer me 50% off a new FitBit. I got the new one and decided to use a lanyard to hold it onto my bra strap so I would have ease of use. So far so good.

I just got mine about a month ago and am enjoying it. The SP FB team is great.
