Loving Life Day 77 March 7, 2013

I've been taking some time off from electronics and the internet. I'm trying to limit myself to 30 minutes per day on the internet, and that has really cut into my Sparking! I do miss it, but am finding time to do other things. I feel guilty because I am a team leader, guilty that I'm not supporting my team and fellow team leaders, but I really need to get my life back. I love Sparking, I love supporting others, but I'm no good to others if I'm not being true to myself.
This week I started walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes in the morning. Day 4 is done, and I am committed to doing the treadmill before work daily. I am also committed to doing 20 minutes on the elliptical after work the days that I don't have my little granddaughter. That means I will do the elliptical on Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday. I spent some time on the elliptical on Sunday and realized how much I enjoyed it. I just needed to add a little change in my exercise routine!
This has been a difficult week for me mentally. I'm not sure what's going on, but I took tomorrow off from work so I can recharge my batteries. Things at work are crazy busy, and it's only getting worse. Everyone in our department (3 of us) are at our wits end, and need a day off. A co-worker is taking today off, I'm taking tomorrow off, and my boss is taking a day off next week. Stress is not our friend! Realizing that we need a day off is our friend though!
I am the only one who can do this for myself.
I make the choice of what I put in my mouth and what I don't.
I make the choice to exercise or not daily
I make the choice to have a positive frame of mind
I make the choice to be healthy!
Goals for today:
~ read my mantra
~ 80 oz water
~ 10,000 steps
~ 15 flights of stairs
~ Weight Watchers Meeting and WI at noon
~ 30 min treadmill (done)
~ keep an open mind
~ journal every bite
~ weigh and measure food today
~ journal thoughts and feelings surrounding eating today
~ smile at least once an hour
~ learn something new and remember what I learned
~ eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal and as one snack today
~ focus on this lifestyle I have chosen for myself and don't sweat the small stuff
