Gym observations

Thursday, March 07, 2013

Occasionally there are some things that catch my eye at the gym that I think are odd. I don't judge a soul in the place. I know how hard it is to get to the gym after work. There are plenty of times I wake up super pumped to go, but because of my schedule I have to go in the evening. There are times that I wake up not really waning to go, but know that I will see people in the class that I love hanging out with. Plus the workouts are generally killer.
Last night there were some interesting things that made me laugh inside:) Ok, yes I may have even rolled my eyes when I had my back turned.
*One of the trainers for our class is friends with one of the girls taking the class. She proceeds to take pictures of her friend while she is working out. After about the 5th picture, the girl being photographed starts posing (like making it seem as though she is REALLY, REALLY working)....not something we see everyday in SWEAT:)
*One of the guys in class comes in (almost late) and informs us all that there were 2 open spots when he registered for class and proceeds to show off his muscles....interesting.
*One of the songs played by photographer trainer was full of explicit language. I love this song! I listen to it all the time when I need a little pick me up (Thrift Shop Rap, it is pure silliness). She starts to giggle and pretend she didn't know "this is the unedited version."
In other SWEAT news, I was talking with one of the women who I see often in class who told me she lost 10% of her body fat and went from boarder line obese to athletic:) I was so happy for her when she told me, I hugged her...not something you see every day...I am really not a hugger (especially with people I don't know). She told me she was stressing herself out to lose the last two pounds, she actually gained weight. HMMMM...this was ringing a bell loud and clear. Glad I bumped into her as this is the point I am at as well. I realize 2 pounds is nothing, just a number.
