An Important Thing to Measure in your Level of Health

Such great advice and something I can attest that I follow on most days now. I was sharing with a friend yesterday about how she lets things get to her and how she becomes very frustrated. I explained that this was how I used to be as well... I guess with years of practice and experience, I can truly attest that I am now living my life in a state of peace on most days... even with teen girls challenging me here and there.
It's truly a great feeling to be where I am today and while I may not be at my 'goal' weight - the state of my mind and spirit is in great shape!! So often we are so pre-occupied with the number on the scale but what is healthy?! To me it's a whole package of mind/body/spirit and BALANCE in all things!
I have worked hard for many years on improving my health and again, while I am not at my goal weight - or in the range that is listed as healthy for my height, I am feeling better than I have in ages in so many ways.
The key to this was learning to let go of certain things, to forgive and to forget some past issues, to live in the NOW and to accept that I am not perfect and I will make mistakes - because I am human. The important thing in all of it is that I learn the lessons as I go and to keep Moving Forward!!
So long as you keep pushing and keep doing YOUR best then you are on the road to living a healthier life! The numbers on the scale are but one measurement of your health, so please know that as long as you care for yourself - mind/body/spirit - you are on the right path!!
