Take my job -- please. I don't know why I took Monday off (or ever take a day off, come to that) because as usual I ended up paying double for it. A large number of electronic payments arrived on Monday that I needed to deal with, which is fine. But my boss became fixated on one of them and nagged me about it, even though she's always told me that everything that arrives on a given day has equal priority. And just to frost the cake we had to be in on an hour-long conference call this morning. Call me crazy, but I'd rather DO the job than talk about it.
The produce box arrived last night (it was supposed to be this morning), and I am seriously excited. Two bunches of collards and some gorgeous black kale -- yummy! Also two types of carrots (rainbow and Nantes), oranges, avocadoes (which I've only recently developed a taste for), artichokes, celery heart, endives and fennel. I'm at a bit of a loss with the fennel because I seriously dislike licorice, so I'm wondering how to fix it so I'll enjoy it.
Lord, I can't wait for the weekend!
