It has been a VERY LONG day! My DH had his hip revision today and I was at the hospital all day. We had to be there at 7:30 this morning, so how was I going to get some exercising done? I knew by the time I got home, I would be too tired to do much.

So, I wore my running clothes to the hospital; sometimes just getting dressed to exercise is the best incentive. As soon as they took my husband into the operating room, I headed out the door for a 3 mile jog. I didn't want to cross any major streets, so was pleasantly surprised that the large block between major streets is 3+ miles. Great stress reliever and I got some exercise in - WooHoo!

    Great job on making the best of your situation!! I agree that sometimes just getting in the workout clothes helps to overcome all the other barriers. Good work!

    Am glad you got out and finally had time for YOU. Hopefully, you'll have time this week to get some major running/exercise in while Joe is in the hospital. Will make it worth it to have time to yourself.
