And I do it again...

Yep, went to the gym again today. Mostly did cardio, as I did a full ST workout yesterday. So, I ran 3.7 miles and pedaled 12.6 miles, then just did two machines (one upper body, and one lower body). And... I will go again tomorrow. Whew! (I weighed myself at the gym and I am down another pound already. Patience seems to have worked for me for getting off that plateau.)

I cooked dinner for my neighbor tonight. We had a chicken stir fry. It is fairly quick and simple. I didn't have any fresh ginger this time which was sad, but it was still pretty tasty. After dinner I walked the dog again then went next door to watch American Idol. My neighbor is cooking dinner for me tomorrow. I just hope it is fairly healthy and she doesn't make too much. She has a tendency to prepare a lot of food then expects me to eat half of it. Oh well, she means well, so what can I do?

For the 5% challenge... What improvements do I need to make for developing my new habit of running outdoors? I just need the ice to finish melting, and for it to warm up just a little bit. After falling on the ice on Monday I am even more leery of trusting my footing while there is still ice out there. I really don't need to injure myself! I think other than that I am making progress with running on the treadmill, which will translate well to running outdoors once that pesky ice is gone.

It will be a busy day tomorrow. I plan on taking the dog for a long walk in the morning before heading to the gym, then I have an appointment in the afternoon. My dad is letting me borrow his truck to drive to my appointment, which means I have to pick him up from campus at 5pm. (He is a free lance accompanist at the local university's music department.) I will walk Cooper home from the campus and have supper with my neighbor, then walk the dog a third time before we watch American Idol. I did manage to remember to get my blood work done today while the lab was still open. I was only about 10 days late getting it done. oops! I have to get a bunch more done in a couple of weeks. I am not looking forward to that as I have tricky veins and they usually have to poke me 2 or 3 times. Now I am just whining... Good night all!

    I totally agree with you about icy walks/runs. have you ever thought about using those winter cleats that you can strap onto your shoes? Stay safe and enjoy your day tomorrow

    Sounds like you have a good plan for working out. Maybe you can offer to take some of the food home for "another time" if your neighbor makes too much.
