Plan B

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

I had been looking forward to dance class all day.
We had just had a week off and I was excited to see everyone and to dive into some new suff. When I got to the studio, the door was locked. I stood there wondering if I had my days or weeks mixed up, I waited. I felt like a lost little puppy dog looking in through a restaurant window. Finally I made my way back to my car and called home to have someone check my e-mail for me. Sure enough, my poor bellydance teacher had succumbed to an awful bug and both of my classes were cancelled. BUMMER!

On the drive home some nasty little gremlins started telling me: not your fault, nothing you can do about it: go home and take a bath. Read a book. Heck Read a book in the bathtub!

No...I thought to myself: I'm going to make a nice supper and then dance by myself.

But when I got home, the vegetables I needed for supper were with my husband who had taken my youngest to band rehearsal.

Nothing I can do about that either...

Well I almost fell for it. Then I went upstairs, put on my sneakers and got my butt thoroughly kicked by Gilad's Step and Tone workout. Just as I was cooling down from that, the hubby got home. He helped me chop up the veggies and supper was well underway.

After I ate, I danced anyway and counted the whole day as a victory. I'm still looking forward to dance NEXT week though!

    Good choices!!
I, too, dance by myself at home Tuesday through Saturday. I just put on the music and go. I attend one dance class most Mondays, except when it is cancelled with weather, etc. But if I don't go through the routines in my stocking feet (I do tap) most days, I forget them and mess up in class. (I'm the oldest one and never did tap (but wanted to as a kid) until last year after I broke my foot and needed to get strong ankles again). Have fun.

Awesome, those little voices in your head are getting softer and softer. Pretty soon you won't hear them at all. Yippee
