I haven't the most consistent with my exercise and healthy eating habits lately. I was doing really well through most of 2012, then struggled the last two weeks of Dec and all of Jan. Struggled so much that I gained 30 pounds in 6-8 weeks! how does that even happen?! I wasn't eating all that bad, I was exercising a few times a week. Somewhere along the way, I think I decided that it just wasn't worth it to fight and still gain. Muscle tone is much lower, many of my clothes don't fit.
So, I need to improve on being consistent with exercise. That means getting up by 5am to go workout at the YMCA.
I need to get back to consistency with healthy eating. That means tracking every bite, avoiding the junk in the staff area of the cafeteria (we don't have a teacher's lounge), only eating the snacks I bring to workshops (not eating half the candy bowl by myself!) and making sure I have snacks, lunch, waters, and breakfast (as needed) packed for each day.
Today, I knew my oldest dd wasn't joining me at the Y. I got up and asked my middle dd if she was going with me. She said no, but I went ahead and got ready and went by myself. My colleague didn't make it, either, but i got in a nice strength workout plus an interval workout on the elliptical.
Lunches and snacks are already packed for tomorrow and Friday. We have another workshop on Friday, so hopefully I will avoid the candy and processed snacks. I don't know why they can't offer anything even semi-healthy!
