Day 59 - Insanity

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

I have a weird dilemma right now. I have been receiving a lot of comments at work lately, from clients, about my weight loss and how great I look. Which is awesome, don't get me wrong. My dilemma is... I don't know how to take a compliment! I usually turn red and say thank you or make a joke about something (my go to defense when I get embarrassed or feel uncomfortable). This is a great dilemma to have don't get me wrong, but it is very strange and very new to me. On the flip side it is very motivating to have people actually noticing the hard work and effort I am putting.

I'm the same way. I don't know how to take a compliment at all, so I've just decided I'm going to smile and say "thank you for noticing, I'm feeling great!" and leaving it alone. Don't belittle all you have accomplished and let yourself enjoy that people are noticing!! You're doing great! Keep it up!! emoticon
