Day 3, Do You Use Measuring Cups?

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

I posted that I would measure my food for my healthy habit challenge.
I have been doing good so far in the Stop The Mindless Eating Habit.
However, I have only been measuring my cereal.
I don't usually measure out my food or follow the proper serving sizes.
I have no excuse for it since we do have measuring cups at home.
I mean you are suppose to know how much you eat and eat the right size right?
So it sounds like I need to start staying within the serving size.
Tomorrow I will use these cups and eat the proper serving sizes.
(For all three meals of the day and a snack if I have one).
I will write you guys and let you know how I did with it.
Have a good night my Kitty Friends! Holly emoticon

I use those measuring cups all the time and a scale when needed for ounces or grams. You would be surprised the actual portion size compared to what is measured an what you thought you guessed at. Measuring and weighing will show up quicker in a loss.

When I started, I took my measuring devices out for everything! I got a digital scale also so I could weigh my food for those serving sizes that come in ounces.

Over a year later, I still measure out scale things and occasionally for the other things. It's amazing how one cup looks different in a measuring device and your head.

Nice, I feel that I should measure things more often, I have a habit of guessing, but I think I might be off.

Good luck! Measuring cups are important, but sometimes I choose to eat something that is not limited just so I can have that little luxury of not m emoticon easuring!
