Depending on your age, my title could be calling up a number of totally different images.
To me, it's Jackie Gleason in his role as Ralph Kramden. When his wife Alice would zing him when he was cooking up one of his goofy schemes, he would utter those lines. Of course by the end of the show, when of course it turned out Alice was right, he would take her in his arms and tell her that she is the greatest.
If you're still reading this you're beginning to wonder what got my weird mind thinking about this.
On spark coach this morning, coach Nicole dared me to "push" myself. The challenge was to do 50 push ups today.
WTH? Wham, Boom, right to my kisser! Are you kidding Nicole? Don't you know how weak I am? And I'm sure you know that I've been streaking push ups, trying to build the number of push ups I can do. I mean really!
But, I am "mostly" an obedient child. I did my first set of push ups for my daily streak. 14 of em....yeah, to some of you that doesn't sound like much, but believe me....I'm improving!
A bit later when I was doing my cardio while listening to Sparkradio, I used my HR alerts to slow down as the trigger to drop and do push ups. 16, then another 14, then 12. By the time I finished my cardio, the challenge was not just met but exceeded!
Nicole, you pushed me to do something I didn't think I could do. Of course I am feeling it right now and tomorrow I suspect my daily push ups will be harder than usual with these sore muscles, but I guess you know me better than I know myself.
Baby.............You're the greatest!
