Cabin Fever?

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

Living on a road that turns to thick mud every wet season, means plenty of staying on the home place.

For my DH, that means sitting all day every day in front of TV,
and all his activities like eating, drinking and uh, TV watching
are done from his chair. I am glad he gets up to use the bathroom
and not do that there in the living room!

I move about much more, due to cooking, hand washing the dishes, cleaning things in the house, laundry. But I do get bored with that and TV blasting all day every day.

Last night, I stayed up after he went to bed, and did not go to bed until 3am. I got caught up on reading, watching internet shows I can't watch due to no TV usage allowed by DH. It was great!

So today was the first day standing outside on my cement step with two cats in attendance ... OUTSIDE! YES!

I could hear the TV plainly, even outside, but the fresh air was very wonderful.

Rain is coming for Saturday, so the mud season of Spring is now on us!

I do long for a paved road, and I can dream of it.
So, though I am not doing well on the losing weight,
I am maintaining my house and seeing a light at the end of the tunnel with warmer days to come!

Yep, spring turns to mud, not that pretty green growing season that the media shows. I'm looking forward to spring, but winter keeps on showing up. :( Does the snow not know I'm done seeing it for the season? 5 months of snow is way too much!

Didn't realize you have mud season. That's the pits! I would go crazy with the TV on all day. Fortunately, my husband can't sit still for too long! Even though he's retired, he always finds something to fix or build! Of course, we don't have much winter here and that helps. Just keep Sparking!

Slogging must account for something! LOL. Hang in there. There is always plenty to do on the homefront.

Yay for thawing outside so that you can spend some time with your cats in nature!

You sound so very secluded-- do you have any neighbors within walking distance that you can talk to or hang out with? Being stuck all winter inside would drive me cuckoo....
