...Today

I beat the snow and found my keys at mile 23. That's the good news. The bad news is that I was so intent in looking for them that I was hunched over the handlebars. I was so excited to find them that I braked hard, did an endo, and really trashed my shoulder. I had four layers of clothing protecting it and I still got road rash through the undamaged clothes. No KBs or pull-ups for a while. I'm going to rest for two days and hope I can manage the four mile race I'm registered for on Saturday. My best MTB took a good hit too but all the important parts are intact.

I guess the other good news is that cycling 28 miles the day after running 20 really didn't bother me.

Glad you found your keys! Sorry you took a spill in the process. I guess it makes for a story though emoticon I can't believe you got road rash through that many layers (I guess be thankful it's cold out!). Hope you feel better soon!

I'm glad you found your keys. Too bad about taking a spill, but you'll deal with that.

You might not be at your fastest on Saturday, but I expect you won't have any problem running 4 miles.

    Wow. lots of happening.

As for the bike, somehow when I use the bikes, they get hit. A bike that stays in the basement doesn't get hit. I guess that's the bike's life.

Hope your shoulder gets better soon.
