New Healthy Habit Blog 5% Winter Challenge

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

Seated Woman in a Red Armchair
Pablo Picasso
1931
Location: Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL, USA
Currently located in the Picasso and Chicago Special Exhibit

I知 struggling to keep up with the 5% challenge. I知 afraid I知 letting my team down by not being able to devote the required time on a daily basis. I知 trying to keep up with this week's blogging challenge by cramming everything into one day.

The New Healthy Habit I知 cultivating this week is to work on loving and appreciating my body.

How do I intend to do this?

Day 1-2-3-4:

1. Wrote the blog Who Are You, but didn稚 get to post it. Posting today.
2. Write a blog about the benefits of not being 殿t war with my body that I致e experienced this week and post it by tomorrow.
3. Continue yoga practice and daily meditation to promote mind/body connection.
4. Tuck my shirt into my pants (when appropriate) and practice not hiding myself.

Good luck to everyone in the 5% challenge and all my spark friends on successfully working toward a healthy you this week.

I got to see this painting recently and wanted to share it with everyone. Not quite the same here as in person, but beautiful in it's own right.

Link to more information on the special exhibit, which I thought was very good:

Look at your heart and your body will be as beautiful if you let it.

Great goals!! I like meditation for mind and body. I know I should do more often.
Don't beat yourself up with requirement for the team. Your team is doing great and they will not accuse you not able to have time to do it...kinda things. I am sure they will support you. Do what you can and take it from there..

It is so great to see you in the kennel today!! We dogs just seem to be the most understanding pack there is! Don't try to do too much in 1 day! Looking forward to reading those blogs and finding out just how you get thru that tucking in of your shirt into your pants! Keep at it and don't forget that you are working on loving yourself!! emoticon

We are so negative about our self-image and I'm glad to see someone is tackling that particular aspect of life. I like your goals and look forward to reading further about how you are dealing with that.
You can only do what you can do in a day, and your first priority is your health, so don't beat yourself up about not being here more. We are a very understanding pack of dogs. emoticon emoticon
