I came across this one again recently...


A DIFFERENT KIND OF SPRING

Obsessed.
Passionate.
Driven.
How else would you describe
The essence of making dreams come true?
Some people just fall
Into the activity they were created for.
They are the lucky ones.
Some put dreams away as ‘childish things,’
And they are seen never more.
Some are in and out of phase with
The inner child
That leads all creative functions.
The dream fades, but comes back
Time and again,
And haunts waking and sleeping hours
Until a different kind of spring comes
To spark new growth, a regeneration.
We are lucky, too, the few
For whom time and persistence brings victory.
