Thanks for the reminder, IOEINC...

I came across this one again recently...

How else would you describe
The essence of making dreams come true?
Some people just fall
Into the activity they were created for.
They are the lucky ones.
Some put dreams away as ‘childish things,’
And they are seen never more.
Some are in and out of phase with
The inner child
That leads all creative functions.
The dream fades, but comes back
Time and again,
And haunts waking and sleeping hours
Until a different kind of spring comes
To spark new growth, a regeneration.
We are lucky, too, the few
For whom time and persistence brings victory.

I read an article lately about how we watch our children with love and enthusiasm when they become enthralled with something, but we seem to give up these kinds of feelings as "childhood" dreams. It spoke of getting this enthusiasm for ourselves back in our lives and never feel that we are being foolish to try!

Great, great poem!
