Push That Tush -- Feeling Good

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

Ever notice how some people make you feel comforted
Just by being there.
They listen...without judging.
They guide...without criticising.
They support you...without patronizing
and when they do say tend to accept it more easily
because you know it's from the heart.
They are the people who make you want to be a better person.
They believe in you and
they make you WANT to live UP to the their expectations.

I've been blessed with a few of these people in my life
Someday, I would like to grow up to be just like them.
{...where there's life there's hope...} emoticon

On the news today we hear about actress Valerie Harper facing brain cancer.
I grew up watching RHODA and loved it.
RHODA was down to earthy, funny, out-spoken, and genuine.
I think the actress's personality enhanced the role.
A true No-frills butterfly.
Here is an excerpt from the show (10:37 minutes)

We expect heavy wet snow in my area...
I'm ready for it.
Plan to do some Zumba and ST today.
Stocked up on Cottage Cheese (1% no salt added) and Greek Yogurt (honey).
Making some Lentil soup for dinner and
have roast chicken with cole slaw for lunch.

I watched her on Mary Tyler Moore then Rhoda. Wishing Valerie Harper the best. Sorry for that news.

Take care with this storm. We did have 3 inches (not the "promised" foot -- but I can assure you I am not complaining!

I sure hope you don't get hammered with snow. We only got a half inch which has not been problematic so far.

I saw that about Valerie Harper and really hated it. She is a really nice lady.

Lentil soup sounds really good in this kind of weather.

I hadn't heard about Valerie Harper, but it makes me sad. I used to love watching the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Phyllis and Rhoda. I loved her character. She was the best friend I wished I'd had.

You have a wonderful plan set up to take care of yourself during your storm. And a tasty one at that! Enjoy your day, your food, your workout and stay safe!

I also loved Rhoda and identified with her in many ways. Smart, sassy, and low self esteem... Yup... I am so sad to learn of this. However, I have cousin whose husband survived many years before finally losing the battle, and another friend at the gym who is now a 2 year survivor, so I will keep her in my prayers.

Your plan for today sounds excellent! You are really motivated! Yeah Sheryl!!! Those wings look good on you!

Yes, I heard that on this radio this morning and it's very sad. Like you, I enjoyed her a lot. My cousin's cancer hit her brain
and it was horrific.

Yes, sad news about Valerie Harper. I watched both The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda (with her Joe - David Groh who died of kidney cancer just over 5 years ago). Funny tv then!

WTG, you have a great day scoped out for yourself already, good food and good exercise - a winning combination!!!

sounds like you are loading up on the healthy foods - just be aware you can make your own "honey" yogurt and save a few calories by using plain and adding less honey

enjoy Zumba for me, LOL
