There's a baby on the way....

So, right when I became completely MIA and started using MFP to track my workouts and eating, I found out that I was pregnant. I'm now at 12 weeks 4 days and so far everything is going pretty well. We've had our initial prenatal appointment and the NT scan last Friday. We got to see the heartbeat and the baby moving around. Crazy stuff! They grow so fast!

My eating and exercise have not been great, but I am hoping that my food aversions and energy levels are better in the next couple of weeks. So much for training for a half marathon. I wasn't in good enough shape before finding out that I was pregnant.

I still have goals, but they're just a bit modified at this point.

I am now sitting at home with heavy snow coming down and my husband is in sunny Florida for work. I really hope this stuff melts quickly or we get another snow day tomorrow. Not being able to shovel limits things a lot. I might have to go get the teenagers next door and offer to pay them...sigh. Hubby always is on travel at the BEST times.

On another note, I am friends with some of you on FB and we won't be going public for at least another 8 weeks or so, so please keep it quiet. Things have gone really well so far, but I don't feel the need to share it with everyone right now.

Tata for now...Hopefully I will be tracking some workouts sooner than later. Girls on the Run begins again on Monday and I will at least be walking 2 days a week during practices. It's something ;-)

    Congratulations! It's good if you still workout. Even walking every day or a few times a week is good. I was also doing well with diet and all before I found out I was pregnant. I still try to work out (walking) and I don't beat myself up for not being able to run or train right now. I will work on that after baby gets here.

  Congrats on the upcoming addition to your family :-) We have several of our pregnant patients that still run half & fulls during their pregnancies, so maybe you can still train for yours :-) Good luck and congrats again!
