Day 5 - Improvement ???

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

Yesterday the grand came over to stay during dinner while her mom teaches a class at the local community college. I had prepared whole wheat pasta with homemade sauce and a big salad. She had a hankering for McDonalds and we caved! I had a fish sandwich and scraped off the tartar sauce but I did have fries, too. My overall calorie count is OK for the day but I felt disappointed in myself and should have stuck with my plan.

Don't beat yourself up too much over it. You are still doing a great job and are right back on plan. Good job, Donna!

Hey--sometimes you do what you have to do. Just relax and stay within your range.

Well, all considered, you did fine!! It is hard not to spoil the grands. Next time, though, maybe you'll get her involved in meal planning, shopping, and cooking. That can be a lot of fun, too!! Best wishes.

Good to have plan! If you didn't had, imagine the damage that happens. Better deviating from a nutrition plan, than not having any, and just go wild... and great that you are aware of what's going on.
Tomorrow new day, new chance! :-)
Way to go!

As long as you are in your calorie range, don't sweat it! By feeling this is not the absolute best choice, you will more than likely eat better, get your fruits and vegetables in the next day. No harm done.
Enjoy your occasional treat, tomorrow is another day.
Life is all about balance. emoticon emoticon

Stop beating yourself up! Life does not follow plans, and you made conscious choices even at McD's. Would you have done that pre-SP? Eat healthier today. If you stay with program 80% of the time, you will be successful. emoticon

That is the hardest part for me, eating socially. I tend to relax and eat what everyone else is eating, even if it doesn't always fit into my plan. Good for you for tracking it all though!! If you figure out a better way to avoid that situation, let me know! :)
