I'm going to the doctor today

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

I was forced to make an appointment this morning. I had been putting off going until spring, but a cold is forcing me in. To make this nice for you, I'll spare exact details, but I'll say the cold drained hard into my ear. I called to make the appointment at 3 am. I have it at 10.

So I'm seeing a nurse practitioner so I can find out if there's any damage. I've never had an ear ache this bad ever. I'm also bringing my husband, I fear he may have bronchitis from his cold and he's calling into work today and I'm making sure he's going to get this over with. It's never fun hearing him lacking breath, I wonder if it's not asthma brought on by illness? That still hasn't been diagnosed, but having a son with cold-induced asthma, it sounds similar.

I haven't seen my regular doctor in over a year (but under 2). So I've lost a lot of weight since the last time I went in. It may not have been my highest when I went in last, but it will be significant. I'll be interested to see the look on anyone's face that reads that detail.

All I have to really say is I'm glad we have any kind of health insurance, even if this will cost me more than I can afford on any normal day with this many sick people. Fortunately I got my taxes back.

I hope it wasn't anything serious for all of you. The price of doctoring with ins. is still rather hard to pay for. Wish my doc understood this. Wish they all did.

Hope you start feeling better real soon; ant that your hubby does too.
I don't know about you, but every time our tax return arrives---something needs attention or fixed. Thank goodness for a return.

Hope you are all feeling better soon. You have to take care of your health. It's so true that if you have your health you have everything. It seems that when you are feeling good the rest will take care of itself. Maybe they won't even recognize you at the doctor's office.... there is such a difference in your before and after pictures.... I'll bet you get some pretty nice compliments!!

Proud of you for your weight loss and hope they compliment you - losing weight is HARD and maybe you can spread the Spark to your doctor. There is a printable sheet you can give them to share with other patients in the articles section.

emoticon Hope it isn't serious for neither you nor your hubby. Health insurance is good to have - hope it doesn't cost too much. By the way, I love your background (of pink dogwoods?), makes me think of spring! I can't get here fast enough!
