New habits may not be new

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

Well, after giving up on the awful, and not very smart, 8 hour thing, I went a little nuts with the late night eating. Ugh. I am back on track and even though I was hungry after our ballroom dancing class, I did not snack. That voice in my head said to go and get something but luckily I did not listen.
My healthy habit for today is to really watch every bite that goes in my mouth and while I will not be counting calories, I will be careful. Having a breakfast at the office today so I am hanging in there until then and having a few berries to keep the metabolism up and be patient. emoticon

We each have to find our own way...very few find precisely what they need out of a book!

Very cool to hear about the ballroom dancing! I've gotta get myself back to our local swing dance group on Tues. evenings!

We are hanging in there together! I know all about that little voice. Good for you working to keep your blood sugar up! That goes a long way in keeping overeating at bay.

Perhaps I'm glad I don't know what the eight hour diet is. emoticon Best of luck with today's challenge; emoticon it sounds like the right direction - I hear it in your attitude. emoticon They are all steps towards our goals. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am glad that your negative experience with the 8-hour diet did not defeat you. Others might have taken that as a sign to just give up entirely. You are more committed to coming up with a healthy lifestyle for yourself. You have formulated a new plan and you are moving forward. Good for you!

I've hear of the 8 hour diet as a doctor suggested it to my Brother in law but I agree with you on eating to keep the blood sugar up. I know by 3:00 I 'm ready to drop and run for the chocolate. Love the idea of Ballroom dancing. It always looks so graceful.

Sounds like you have a really sound plan. I have to avoid the late night snacking as well.

i have not gained a pound in over a year.

i gave up sugar and grain products and lost 44 pounds at age 61.

my sister lost 105 pounds at age 63 by walking 15000 steps a day and has not gained a pound back either in over a year.
